As a younger musician, I aimed to master classical piano. While I excelled to national acclaim early in my career, I found more success and satisfaction outside the classical genre as a lead vocalist and keyboardist in the music scene of my hometown, Salt Lake City, Utah. With thousands of hours of studio/stage experience and a massive breadth of influences, I am equipped to bring a unique, seamless, custom sound to your project—or to help you create it yourself.

Music is an extension of language. The human ability to ascertain meaning and emotion in conversation largely involves attention to the pitch and rhythm of speech: there is no hard line that distinguishes between speech and singing. I am thereby convinced that anyone who can use language has the potential to be a musician.

My hope is to guide each of my students to better explore, adorn, and articulate their truths. In my instruction, I emphasize anatomical technique, developing effective practice methods, and thinking deeply about the philosophy, psychology, and history of music.
